Caring for the Earth
In the summer of 2016, Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ voted overwhelmingly to install fifty-seven solar panels on the church's south-facing roof. We are the first community of faith in our area to affirm the goodness of creation by investing in solar power. As people of faith who understand the challenging reality of climate change and embrace our responsibility to be good stewards of the environment, using clean and renewable energy is much more than a cost-saving investment, it is above all a statement of our commitment to care for the Earth. Our white church building is becoming more "green!"
