PARENTS' DAY OUT /
FAMILY DAY OUT Starting in December we are offering parents' some "us" time once every other month, while we care for their children. And on the alternate months, we offer church family activities, that give families the chance to worship and play together as a church community. We know families are stretched thin, and we are doing what we can to support them in this very important job of raising children. We want church to be a supportive partner in the job. Keep posted to see what's coming up. Let others in the community know. This is outreach to our families, and to all families in the community without a church community to support them. |
OUR NEXT EVENT, COMING UP
CHRISTMAS SHOPPING WITHOUT THE KIDS ADVENT WORKSHOP December 5th Per request, our first activity is doing an Advent Workshop with the children, while parents actually shop for their children's Christmas gifts without the kids around. Perhaps, if lucky, they get to do this with a supportive spouse, partner or friend too. Imagine that. While not particularly romantic, nor spiritual, it doesn't matter, it speaks to reality in today's world, and it is a gift we can give to our families. While they are busy shopping, children can make gifts, bake cookies, and do all kinds of holiday related activities. Exact details yet to come. |
