This month's class topics
We follow the common lectionary, and base lessons on that. Generally speaking, the lesson usually centers on the gospel reading (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John). By having adults and children hearing and processing the same biblical stories, it offers the opportunity to continue learning beyond church if a familly so chooses.
More to come....
Readings for the upcoming Sundays include:
January 29th
Deuteronomy 18:15-20
Psalms 111
1 Corinthians 8: 1-13
Mark 1: 21-28
February 5th Worship for All Ages and Communion
Children are encouraged to attend church with their families this week. To help children get the most out of this worship time, it may be good to prepare them by talking about communion, and maybe introducing them to the stories for the week, so it will at least sound familiar. When we know which of the four readings the minister will focus upon in her sermon we will try to indicate it here.
Isaiah 40: 21-31
Psalms 147: 1-11, 20c
1 Corinthians 9:16-23
Mark 1:29-39
February 12th
