Survey results and changes for this year

After many changes last year, we sought feedback on those changes.

We heard you!

Parents overwhelmingly, wanted to have church school during worship time.
Helping children learn about worship a step at a time was encouraged.

Therefore, children come with their parents at 9:30 for worship. They stay in worship until indicated in the bulletin. At this point, the 5th and 6th grade students go with their teacher, and the rest of the children gather downstairs in their worship corner to learn one aspect of worship. They then separate and go to their classes for learning activities associated with the Bible story of the day.

Other survey results include:

liking Parents Days Out
liking hikes and similar activities
liking Mission trips and all that goes with that
liking and appreciating OWL
many more useful comments

To grow a vibrant learning faith community takes many people. We need you and we THANK YOU.

Thank you to all who are helping with the church school and associated activities. We couldn't do it without you.

We could use more people to help us grow a community of faith.

Specifically we need,

people to serve once a month in the nursery to care for our littlest ones.
a teacher for the 5th and 6th grades during Lent
a teacher for the 3rd and 4th grades during Lent

Because classes happen during worship time, we are looking to give our teachers the opportunity to go to church during Lent. Can you help?

We are a community of faith. We are a community of learning. We are on a journey. We welcome you to join us along the way.

We are looking forward to a year of growth in our faith, fellowship, and learning. Thanks for being a part of it.
