Welcome Capital Campaign
In November 2007, we embarked on an ambitious 5-year campaign to raise $300,000 to complete a needed major overhaul of our Church building which is heavily used for community outreach programs as well as worship. Our goal also included an additional $200,000 to establish a capital reserve that would provide for future major repairs or renovations as well as additional operating income.
We have met our $300,000 goal. In 2009 we completed major repairs to the building exterior and also completely repainted the structure. In January 2010 we replaced the range hood and exhaust system in our kitchen to comply with new fire and health codes. The community Meals for Many program is based here. Further kitchen renovations are underway and expected to be completed by the end of summer 2010. The next step will include refurbishing the Sanctuary and interior painting. Meanwhile we are still working toward our $200,00 capital reserve goal.
